GearoFlow FAQ

We use standard iOS gestures to keep the screen clean. On your main list (Index) view, simply swipe left on any item. You will see a Red button to Delete and an Orange button to Edit the name and settings of that list or item.
Swiping is the key! To create a carbon copy of a gear item, activity or even a an entire Gear List or Event (perfect for recurring weekend trips), swipe right on the item. This will trigger the Duplicate action, creating a new copy with "Copy" appended to the title.
In the Detail view, you can simply tap and hold any item to drag it into your preferred order. In your Events, GearoFlow will automatically recalculate your Total Run Time and REM Time based on the new order.

The "Scene" field is a flexible text slot for short, vital identifiers.
- Filmmakers: Use it for Scene IDs (e.g., Sc. 12A).
- Travelers: Store confirmation codes (e.g., AA-FLIGHT-K7B or Booking #88291).
- Overlanders: Use it for campsite numbers or trail stage IDs (e.g., Campsite #24).
This field is designed for addresses or environmental context.
- Filmmakers: Use it for "INT. STUDIO" or "EXT. FOREST."
- Travelers: Paste the physical address of the museum or hotel.
- Overlanders: Record GPS coordinates or specific trailhead names.
Categories help you avoid "the wall of text". When you assign a category (like Audio, Kitchen, or First Aid) to an item, GearoFlow can group them under a header. This allows you to focus on packing one "zone" at a time. If you import a Gear Checklist with a category you don't have, GearoFlow will create it for you automatically!

GearoFlow uses simple, powerful math. You set a Start Time for the Event, and a Duration (in minutes) for each Activity.
- Total Run Time: The sum of all activity durations.
- End Time: The Start Time + Total Run Time.
This is our favorite feature! As you check off completed activities, GearoFlow subtracts that activity’s duration from your total day. The REM (Remaining) Time tells you exactly how many hours/minutes of "planned work" you have left, so you can tell at a glance if you'll make it to your destination before sunset.

This is a specialized, lightweight file format unique to our app. It allows you to package your entire Gear Checklist or Event/Shotlist - including categories, notes, and timing - and send it to another GearoFlow user via AirDrop, Messages, or Email.
The Plus tier ($9.99 one-time) is for power users. It unlocks:
1. In-App Import: A dedicated button to bring in .gearo files without leaving the app.
2. Universal Search: Find any item or activity across every list you’ve ever made.
3. Rename on Import: (Coming Soon) Choose a new name on import before it joins your library.
4. Custom Tab Names: (Coming Soon) Personalize your navigation to fit your specific hobby.
